We don't know about you but the end of spring has set an ache in our bones for a water party! Just think, warm, sunny weather, soft breezes and the splash of the cool, clear Medina River. Wow! That sounds like a party on the river – RiverFest 2008! Bandera Business Association (BBA) is busy planning this popular annual event and we invite you to be part of it.
The Bandera Business Association is a group of business owners dedicated to promoting and increasing tourism and commerce in the City of Bandera. Riverfest is our biggest fundraiser and the funds generated support other tourism events. Last year alone, we gave grants to the Cowboy Capital Rodeo Association, Celebrate Bandera, the Optimist Club, Hunter’s Bar-B-Que, the Boys and Girls Club, and the BBA sponsored and paid most of the Christmas lights on the Court House lawn and in City Park. We have also contributed seed money for the Bandera Frontier Times Museum’s Living History Program and the Cowboy Christmas program. The BBA has participated in an aggressive advertising campaign by matching funds placed by the Bandera Convention and Visitor’s Bureau to increase buying power for the promotion of tourism.
